Welcome! To help ensure a safe, respectful, and smooth experience for you and your dog, please take a moment to read through our service policies.
🗓️ Cancellations & No-Shows
- 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booking -email: info@westsidewag.com.au
- Late changes (less than 48h) incur a 50% fee
- No-shows will be charged 75% of the quoted amount
- No future bookings will be accepted until the fee is paid
⏰ Late Arrival & Pickup
- 15+ minutes late to drop-off may be treated as a cancellation (see above)
- Collection is required within 30 minutes of being notified your pet is ready
- Late pickups: $15 per 10 minutes
- Dogs with known behavioural issues (eg excessive barking) must be collected within 15 minutes to respect our neighbours
🐶 Health & Safety
- Current vaccination records (DHPP & Bordetella) are required
- Puppies welcome 10 days after 2nd vaccination
- Pets must arrive on a lead or in a carrier
- Signs of illness may result in refusal of service; cleaning fee $15+ applies
- Fleas found? One-time flea bath added: $20+ (includes deep clean)
💈 Pricing
- Quotes are estimates only and may vary based on:
✔️ Size & coat length
✔️ Condition (matting, dirt, undercoat)
✔️ Behaviour or extra handling needs
✔️ Time required
- Prices may vary between visits depending on these factors
- Final price will be confirmed at pick-up
🐾 Behaviour & Handling
- Grooming may be stopped if your dog becomes overly stressed
- In such cases, a base service fee will still apply
- You must disclose any history of biting, aggression or behavioural issues
- Failure to disclose may result in liability for injuries, damage, or lost income
✂️ Matting Policy
- Matting can cause skin irritation and discomfort
- Removing mats may reveal underlying conditions (sores, hot spots)
- Additional charges will apply depending on matting severity
- Grooming close to the skin increases risk of nicks - we take care but accept no responsibility for pre-existing issues
🏥 Accidents & Emergencies
- While rare, accidents (nicks, scratches, nail quicking) can happen
- We will inform you of any incident
- In urgent cases, we may take your dog to the nearest vet
- Vet costs are the owner’s responsibility, especially for pre-existing or behavioural conditions
💳 Payment
- Payment is due at collection
- We accept:
